I’m interested in testing out VetVerifi at my clinic. What are my next steps?

Wonderful! Here are your 2 next steps:

  1. Create your VetVerifi account here. It takes about 1 minute. Note: there won’t be much to do just yet because we haven’t sync’d to your PIMS or other data source.

  2. Let’s schedule a quick call to select the right connectivity option for your clinic, based on your PIMS and account preferences. We’ll unlock your account and you’ll be ready to go! Click here to schedule a time to chat.

Who has access to pet records from our clinic?

That’s up to you as an individual clinic - you are and should be in control. We offer a spectrum of network settings that we’ll discuss when you set up your account (and that you can change at any time) that enable clinics to select their preference of the below access options.

  • OPEN: Any VetVerifi-authorized verifier can access vaccination records on demand. You’ll know exactly which users and frequency of access. Most clinics choose this option for a true “hands off” experience.

  • SEMI-CLOSED: A verifier will need to request a specific access key from your clinic one time, that your clinic team can either approve or deny. Once approved, that verifier will have on demand access to vaccination records.

  • CLOSED: Every time a verification is needed, the verifier will need a specific access key from your clinic to access a single vaccination record.

How do you keep my client’s information secure?

All VetVerifi users must agree to and comply with our terms of use, maintain client consent and permissible purpose and sign a perjury statement before that user is authorized to search our network. We monitor verification requests and audit our verifier clients to ensure compliance and security. Additionally (and uniquely in vetmed), we only integrate with PIMS systems and data providers that provide endpoint access, as opposed to full database access, to ensure the only data sync’d to VetVerifi is that which is authorized by the clinic - nothing else. Is VetVerifi compatible with my current PIMS?

We are currently compatible with 18 different PIMS systems representing the vast majority of systems in the U.S. market, including both on-premise systems such as Cornerstone, Avimark, and Impromed, and cloud-based systems, such as Shepherd and Vetspire. We prioritize actively grow our list of compatible integrations. So while there’s a very good chance we are compatible with the PIMS used at your clinic, it’s possible we aren’t able to fully integrate with your clinic. But fear not - we have alternate options for non-compatible PIMS to share requested records on demand. Learn more about our package options here.

Are the vets in my area using VetVerifi? What happens if not every vet in our neighborhood uses your software?

VetVerifi has connected clinics in its network all over the country; there’s a high chance a few or many of the clinics in your neighborhood are already using the platform. However, we offer vet clinics a high degree of control over verifier access, enabling each individual clinic to select their own network settings. This means that even if clinics in your neighborhood are using VetVerifi, they may not yet have enabled access to your organization, according to their selected network settings. Our implementation process for pet services accounts for this natural “network-building” occurrence; in many cases, our team steps in to manually facilitate verifications or clinic relationships to ensure a smooth start to your VetVerifi experience while you’re local neighborhood begins to adopt VetVerifi.

Is VetVerifi compatible with my current CRM or scheduling software?

Our verification solution is currently compatible with a growing list of pet services CRMs used in the U.S. market, such as Gingr or PetExec. We prioritize and actively grow our list of compatible integrations regularly. So while there’s a very good chance we are compatible with the CRM used at your facility, it’s possible we aren’t able to fully integrate with your current software. But fear not - we have alternate options for non-compatible CRMs to fetch and verify records on demand. Learn more about our package options here.

We require Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines. Can VetVerifi customize its process based on our unique requirements?

Yes. For customers that use our fully integrated service offering, combining ongoing schedule monitoring with continuous verifications, we customize our verifications and reporting uniquely to your company’s preferences, alerting you to issues when you have an upcoming appointment at risk.

What data do I need to have in order to use VetVerifi?

At a minimum, we require the below data points to successfully verify a pet’s vaccination records ahead of an upcoming appointment:

  • Pet’s name

  • Owner Name(s), Owner(s) email address or phone number, Owner zip code

  • Vet clinic or veterinarian on file

  • Upcoming appointment date
